Best dentist I've been to. My childhood doctor would be hurt if I told him. Lol! The hygienist was a gem. Very respectful and explained a lot. Nitrous oxide, otherwise known as laughing gas, is offered to our dental patients. While dental sedation is not necessary for dental veneer treatment, it can help ease nerves that often come with extensive dental procedures. Relieves Anxiety
Our dentists will always administer a local anesthetic to numb your mouth for a virtually painless procedure, but nitrous oxide can help calm any anxiety you may have. Patients may experience numbness, lightheadedness, and an overall feeling of calm with nitrous oxide. Still, patients are conscious during the entire procedure, responding to the dentist as usual.
Quick Recovery
Unlike other sedation methods, like IV sedation or oral conscious sedation, the effects of nitrous oxide sedation wear off in only 15 minutes once the mask is removed. Since patients recover quickly from this form of sedation, they can drive themselves home, eliminating the need to arrange a ride before and after treatment.
